Refunds and deferrals

This information applies only to venue sittings based in NSW and ACT and remote proctored tests.

(Monies paid for preparation materials included with the STAT registration will not be refunded).

Test centre sittings

Test Centre sittings cannot be deferred or transferred.

If your circumstances change and you cannot attend your booked test sitting, please contact the STAT Office by email to cancel your booking. Requests must be submitted in writing to stat@acer.org and must contain your full name, STAT ID, payment reference number and reason for refund. Refunds will be permitted up until close of the registration cycle, less an administration fee of $35.00. The fee will be refunded to the credit/debit card used for payment.

If you are seriously ill on the test day and cannot attend the test, you must email stat@acer.org within 1 week of the test date with your full name, STAT ID, payment reference number and reason for missing the test. Requests must be supported by a detailed medical certificate.

Remote proctored sittings

It is not possible to reschedule remote proctored session(s) from one STAT test window to a subsequent STAT test window.

You can reschedule test sessions within a test window directly with the remote proctoring company up until 72 hours prior to the end of the test window. After this point, no more changes can be made.

If your circumstances change and you cannot attend your booked remote proctored session at any time within the test window, please contact the STAT Office by email to cancel your booking. Requests must be submitted in writing to stat@acer.org and must contain your full name, STAT ID, payment reference number and reason for refund. Refunds will be permitted up until the close of ACER Registrations for that test window, less an administration fee of $50.00. The fee will be refunded to the credit/debit card used for payment.

Unless you have contacted the STAT Office prior to the close of the test window, you will forfeit your registration and payment if you do not complete your test(s) within the test window you registered for. For this reason, you are strongly advised to complete all of the necessary equipment checks, and to allow enough time for rescheduling your test session within the test window (if necessary) due to genuine misadventure or unforeseeable technical problems.

If you are sick or experience technical difficulties during your scheduled test session(s) and there is no further time during the test window to reschedule your test(s), contact the STAT Office.
